And the first day too…… not good. Oh well, I’ll blame it on college work I guess.

Now that the important news is out the way, time for the waffle….

Well, it’s (finally) official, the UK is in a recession. I don’t see why they’re all making SUCH a big deal about this in the news, I mean we all knew it for months (and none of us really cared to be honest). Ok, so the economy is shrinking…. and people are getting laid off (good luck finding a job to all those who have – and especially Woollies staff, I miss that place already ) but for those of us that still have our jobs (or us students),  there hasn’t been too much of an impact. Wages are the same, so our income hasn’t decreased at all. Although everything has increased in price :/

I have to say though, as a student I like this recession because I’m hoping it ends when I graduate, meaning a house and mortgage is easy to come by

Disclaimer: I know NOTHING about economics, finance, banking etc….. you could probably tell from reading that. So I’ll leave you with a pic that sums up my understanding on this topic:

Ah well, no more chocolate for a while, promise. Well, maybe a little…… NO NONE!

As for life just now, it’s good Exams are over until May/June, so a little bit of peace at least. And Tenerife in February, I’ll get pics of that up will be fun I think.

Once again, thanks for the promo album John!

After listening to it I thought I’d write a bit about it here.

Well, what can I say apart from the fact that this is his best album yet!

With guest appearances from Eric Clapton, Derek Trucks and Robert Randolph, it is certainly worth a listen when it comes out.

The release date is 22nd July, and when it comes out, I highly recommend buying it! Whether you like blues music or not, you will love this album, just for the shear brilliance of his guitar skills! He truly is a musical genius!

What do you find attractive in a girl? (or guy if you are female. Or gay.)

T’was interesting to hear the idiot and the bassist say that even if someone was “ugly” but they got along, they could spend the rest of their lives with them. I’m not so sure though, I’d have to find someone mildly attractive at least. To quote my part from the conversation, this is how the idiot and the bassists relationships will pan out:

Man- “Oh I love you so much, lets get married and spend our lives together”

Woman- “Ok lets have sex”

Man- “No”

Woman- “Why?”

Man- “Because every time I look at your face I want to puke”

Is it just me, or is this relationship doomed to failure?

I’m currently listening to some Soundgarden – a few years old, but great music. It’s the former band of the lead singer from Audioslave, Chris Cornell (he also went solo for one of the James Bond themes). Anyway, that’s how bored I am, I have to wrtie about what I’m listening to.

Went to a wedding yesterday, which was alright. Not many people I knew but it was still fun, even if it did rain. Constantly. But hey, that’s the Scottish weather for you.

Still haven’t seen Toms Hitler cat. I really want to, so I’ll try and post pics when I do finally manage to see it:)

Oh, and I just bought myself a gamecube for some retro gaming – Nintendo style! Kind of an impulse buy, and got loads of games. Too many probably. Infact no, you can’t have too many games. EVER. Also got a gameboy advance for some pokemon, I love that game

Anyway, I can’t be arsed wrighting anymore, because I am so tired. I’ll add more in another post, but for now I’m going.

Also, just a quick note about Buddy Guy – Did anyone see him at Glastonbury, and know where  can find a video of him? BBC2 decided to show only 1 song, and I was really looking forward to seeing more

A few times he was out in the crowd, sitting next to people and playing his guitar, as if he was friends with them, just chatting away.

Perhaps the best bit was when he ended up right up the top of the hall, after playing all the way up the several flights of stairs. Of course, he got a huge cheer when he made it!

There was one rather annoying guy that decided he wanted to argue with him about a comment he made on Muddy Waters, but Buddy Guy was exceptionally calm about it, and said “You obviously know more than me – teach me”. The whole audience broke out in laughter as we all realised what a prick this person really was.

Anyway, a fantastic concert, one of the best live musicians I have ever seen by far, and looking good for his age! Also has a fantastic voice, as well as his exceptional guitar skills. He is also a great comedian, a really funny guy and a great storyteller!
